I am currently married to a wonderful man and have a great marriage. We have been blessed with four children of our own and five grand-children. As a small child I was abandoned and moved to Cherokee Home for Children by the State of Texas. At age 9 I was discovered along with my sister by Child Protective Services and removed from the abandoned garage that I resided in. My native language was not English so it was hard for me to understand and comprehend most of what was taught to me in a public school. Due to my misfortunate circumstances as a child, I find it very important to see an optimistic point of view and use my experience to teach and related to school aged children. Through my lifetime I have always found importance in childhood development. I have used this gift to not only run small daycare businesses out of my home, but to also later in life own a licensed child care facility. I purchased a daycare center back in 2006 and was the director and owner for 4 years. With all of the experiences and memories I had with the enrolled children, I felt the calling to return to school and because a certified teacher. I recieved my certification in EC-6 in December of 2011. I am very creative and always find myself sewing, painting, knitting, needlepoint, drawing, or scrapbooking by hobby. I enjoy traveling and have had the privilege to visit or reside in many regions of Texas and most states from New York to California. The one place I would love to visit and have included on my bucket list is Europe.
